Life of a honey Bee: 40-90 min ($180-$300)
* Final rate is determined by location, class size and activity chosen.
The program will be presented as follows:
*Look alikes (Wasps, Hornets, Flies, Bees)
*What Beekeepers do (I will have tools, equipment and outfits for them to explore/try on)
*Pollination
*Honey
*Lifecycle/Duties
*Q&A
*Active game to reinforce what we've learned
*Activity
I have several to choose from depending on student ages. Only one will be performed. A few examples are:
Honey Tasting
Make Honey Straws
Create something from Beeswax (Candles, Lip balm, Crayons, etc.)
Plant flowers to take home
Paint a Hive box
The class may be prepared a little differently than listed depending on the age of the audience. I have an Observation Hive and can bring live bees indoors or outdoors (weather dependent) from May-August. I will bring a replica of an active hive from September-April.
